Our Mission

To preserve, perpetuate, and advance the Buddha Dharma through the cultivation of a learned, disciplined, and spiritually accomplished Sangha; the promotion of Buddhist education, scholarship, and contemplative practice; and the safeguarding of Bhutan’s sacred religious traditions, rituals, institutions, and cultural heritage. The Central Monastic Body is committed to providing spiritual guidance and religious services to the people, fostering ethical and compassionate values, and contributing to the enduring spiritual vitality, cultural continuity, and harmonious well-being of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
